Solidarity Map: How do we practise care for each other in activism?

We're excited to share with you Kinfolk Network's newest community resource, a solidarity map. The map was designed as part of our roundtable in October 2023 where activists discussed the question, ‘How do we practise care for each other in activism?'

Beautifully illustrated by OURISUALS, and created in collaboration with YARD, a Black-led arthouse in Ladywood, Birmingham, and Inini, a Black-led mental health charity for asylum seekers and refugees.

The map is intentionally centred around the experiences of Black migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, because these voices are often further marginalised in Black organising spaces. We hope it can be used as a tool for organising, creating community, building solidarity and understanding in our liberation work.

A special thank you to everyone who participated, sharing their knowledge and experiences for Black healing and liberation. It was an evening of deep conversation and connection.
