KIN IS HIRING CO-DIRECTORS!
After three years incubated by the New Economy Organisers Network [NEON], KIN’s co-founders have spent 2020 focusing on organisational development, strategy and pulling KIN into independence. Now registered as a CIC, KIN seeks to resume operations in 2021 with new co-directors at the helm. Since our inception in 2017, KIN has held two convenings, one national and one international, three local events, run a partnership with the George Padmore Institute, released two reports in collaboration with Runnymede Trust and has built a community of Black activists and organisers who see KIN as a home for community, connection, important conversations and great food.
We are now looking for confident and passionate candidates to step into a leadership positions, which will form KIN’s first staff team as an independent organisation. KIN’s co-directorship will have strategic vision, significant experience in events and operations, and a strong background in leading and managing projects of a substantial size. Location: Remote (can be based anywhere in the UK)
Salary: £35k FT PA (4 day work week)
Hours: 4 days per week; one year fixed term, with probability of extension
Benefits: 7.5% employer matched pension after probation, flexible working, 28 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays and Dec 26th - Dec 31st), staff development budget
Reporting to: Board of Directors
Manages: Contractors
